Daniel Hu Zheng


Hu Zheng began studying violin at 4 years old, and had his first public performance at the age of 7. He studied in Shenyang Conservatory of Music with Alexander Pyankovsky, Liu Wei and Professor Li You who was the Concertmaster in China Liaoning Opera House Symphony Orchestra.

In 2006, Hu Zheng joined in Shanghai Opera House Symphony Orchestra as first violinist. After got his M.A degree in Violin Performance, Hu Zheng joined in Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra in 2009 and later went to Beijing joined in China NCPA Orchestra in 2015 as first violin its as well. And he was awarded to Outstanding Staff from Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra in 2010, 2011 and 2015. As being professional musician, Hu Zheng has performed with plenty of top musicians such as Placido Domingo, Gidon Kremer, Joseph Silverstein, Kyung Wha Chung, Shlomo Mintz, Midori Goto, MaximVengerov, Daniel Hope, Ning Feng, Renaud Capuçon, Gautier Capuçon, Lynn Harrell, Wang Jian, Qin Li Wei, Andrei Gavrilov, Gary Graffman, Khatia Buniatishvili, Lang Lang, Krzysztof Penderecki, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Leif Segerstam, Chung Myung-whun, Luisi Fabio, Daniel Oren etc.

During his career, he has received guidance and praise from many conductors and performers. In 2010, Hu Zheng studied with Joseph Silverstein who was the former Concertmaster in Boston Symphony Orchestra and professor in Curtis Institute of Music. In 2014, he participated in the master class of violinist Midori Goto in Hangzhou and was praised. Hu Zheng has performed in lots of music festival all over the world, such as Abu Dhabi Festival, Emilia-Romagna Festival, Ravello Festival, Ljubljana Festival, Macau Festival, Beijing International Music Festival and so on, and performed in Germany, Russia, Estonia, Italy, Slovenia, United Arabic Emirates, South Korea, Macau and Taiwan.
