Yang Yalin started learning the violin at the age of 6. She began performing on stage and participating in various violin competitions at the age of 8, achieving excellent results and attaining gold awards in provincial and National competitions.
In 2003, she was admitted to the Bachelor of Music program in the Department of Orchestra, Major in Violin at Shenyang Conservatory of Music, and received scholarships from the school. During her time at the Conservatory of Music, she has participated in numerous large-scale performances and cultivated many outstanding students. She has won multiple Gold awards in international competitions. In addition, Yalin has also been awarded with Excellent Instructor Award, gaining valuable experience while honing her skills.
In 2007, she started her Master of Music program in Department of Orchestra, Major in Violin at Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. She has studied under many Experts and Masters, including the director of the violin teaching and research department of Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.
In 2015-2016, she served as a teaching assistant for Felix G. Kalman at Far Eastern State Academy of Arts, teaching undergraduate major in violin students. She held solo concerts at the Far Eastern State Academy of Arts in 2015 and 2016. Yalin held her solo concerts at the Far East National Theatre of Russia in 2016. In the same year, she was hired as a judge for the Li Zili Works Creation 60th Anniversary Music Festival.
Since 2017, she has served as a council member of the China Western Orchestra Association of Violins. Yalin was invited as a judge in 2018 for the China-Thailand International Violin Competition. From 2018 to 2020, she was a professional violin teacher at the People’s Association in Singapore. In 2021, she was invited as a Public Judge for the International String Competition.
